The Kiwanis Club of Sacramento meets every Wednesday via Zoom (we will return to in-person meetings once it is deemed safe). We meet from 8am-9am the first three Wednesdays of the month - and if there is a fifth Wednesday - and from 7pm-8pm on the fourth Wednesday of the month. UPCOMING EVENTS
Our club hosts a number of events throughout the year that serve to bring the community together while raising funds for the many programs we support. 100% of all proceeds raised at Kiwanis Club of Carmichael community fundraisers is put back into the community.
Koobs Nature Area Public Open Days - 1st Saturday of each month, March through October, 10am-2pm
The Koobs Nature Area is open each month for families to visit and kids to participate in science and art activities with a monthly theme. Koobs is a 4.7 acre nature reserve with trails and ponds and lots of areas to explore. Koobs and the monthly activities are free and run by the Kiwanis Club of Carmichael as a signature project. The themes for each month are:
March 5th - Seasons
April 2nd - Conservation & Sustainability
May 7th - Big Mammals
June 4th - Native Plants
July 2nd - Pond Day
August 6th - How Nature Beats the Heat
September 3rd - Bees & Butterflies
October 1st - Alternative Energy
Memorial Day Observance at the Koobs Nature Area - Monday, May 30, 11am
The Koobs Nature Area is home to the first Vietnam War Memorial in California, honoring the young people from La Sierra High school who lost their lives. Join us on Memorial Day, our at the memorial, to remember loved ones who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. This event will start at 11am on Monday, May 30th.

4th of July Pancake Breakfast - Monday, July 4, 8-11am
Join us once again when the Kiwanis Club of Carmichael partners with Carmichael Recreation and Park District to host our traditional 4th of July Pancake Breakfast. Have breakfast before heading out to enjoy the Carmichael 4th of July Parade along Fair Oaks Blvd. More details in the coming month.
